So I did this before but I couldn’t find any sign of it earlier.

In my first day of class I was asked to listen to Katy Perry’s Firework and listen how her voice no matter what did not change a bit in volume despite knowing that she is yelling during her chorus. Later in the class we were asked “why does your generation like this type of music?” My answer is that I believe our generation does not notice it. I think we are overwhelmed by the catchy-ness of the musical background that the vocal variation is drowned out. Personally I know that if I hear a good beat and I can grove to the music, I’m not paying attention to much of anything else in the song. As for the class in total, I think its going to be very interesting. I’m still not entirely sure what to expect from this class but I’m excited to try something new and see what I can learn from here.
